The 20,000 foot high hotel booking

If you're skydiving towards your holiday destination and realise that you've forgotten to make a hotel reservation, fear not – Hotels.com has a smartphone application that will help you out. Extreme sportsman JT Holmes shows off the speed and ease of the new app as he freefalls towards his holiday destination. But does he manage to complete his booking before he lands outside his hotel at Lake Tahoe?

Of course he does. JT manages to book a room from about 20,000 feet up in the air, traveling at over 240km/h. So yeah, the application must be pretty easy to use. But JT also makes his reservation in about 30 seconds before landing outside his hotel, where his booking has already been processed. Now that's quick – and so cool!

The Green Room Verdict: We can't be sure how the video was edited and if the app truly worked in the circumstances, but it's a cool idea that pushes the app's key features perfectly. Can't say it's something we haven't seen before though – Lenovo's 'Boot or Bust' ad featured a free falling laptop whose parachute would only eject once the computer had booted up. Still, we like it, and know Hotels.com will get a massive boost from this spot.
