The Salvation Army have taken to the Canadian streets in highlighting the issue of homelessness. Bench seats, car parks, and nooks on busy roads are no place for anyone to live, so a simple message has been placed in these areas along with a method of donating to the Salvation Army. All that's been required to get the attention of the public are some simple stickers placed around the city looking like street address signs.
These stickers appear in targeted areas where the public are often present, drawing attention to the sleeping spots of those living rough. Below the street address number is the message "No one should have to call this home" followed by a text-to-donate number.
The Green Room Verdict: Straightforward and provocative, the simplicity of this idea has been nicely executed. This campaign does seem pretty similar one that ran earlier in the year for charity 'Raising the Roof', which featured posters on steps and sidewalks saying "Down here. A bad place for a poster. An even worse place for homeless youth".
